AI Form Generation

Describe the form you need in plain English and the AI builds it for you — with the right field types, labels, and defaults.

AI form generation lets you create a complete form by describing what you need in a few sentences. The AI picks the right field types, labels, and layout — you can then fine-tune everything in the form builder.

Opening the AI dialog

From inside the form builder, click the Generate with AI button (marked with a sparkle icon) on the canvas. A dialog opens with a text area for your prompt.

Writing your prompt

The AI works with anything from a general idea to a fully detailed specification — it's up to you how much control you want.

If you're not sure what you need

Keep it simple. A short description is enough and the AI will fill in the rest with sensible defaults:

"Employee onboarding form"

"Customer feedback survey"

"Weekly vehicle check"

If you know exactly what you want

List the specific fields, types, and requirements. The AI will follow your instructions closely:

"All fields required. Employee Name, Employee Passport Photos, Employee Contract Upload, Employee Signature, Company Signature"

"Vehicle inspection — tyre condition, lights, brakes, fluid levels. Each as an inspection field with pass/fail and photo upload. GPS location at the top. Customer signature at the end."

Be specific about field types

Mentioning "inspection field", "signature", "dropdown", "photo upload", etc. in your prompt helps the AI choose the right field types instead of defaulting to plain text.

Generating the form

Press Generate Form and wait a few seconds. The AI will:

  1. Create all the fields with appropriate types and labels
  2. Set a form title based on your description
  3. Load everything into the canvas

Replaces existing fields

Generating a form replaces any fields currently on the canvas. If you've been building manually, make sure you're happy to start over before generating.

Editing afterwards

Once generated, the form works exactly like any other form in the builder. You can:

  • Rename fields or the form title
  • Add, remove, or reorder fields
  • Change field settings or types
  • Adjust the row layout

AI credits

Each generation uses one AI credit. Your available credits depend on your plan:

  • Free — 30 credits/month (max 3/day)
  • Pro — 200 credits/month (base), plus 100 more for each additional user

Credits reset each billing period. If you run out, you can purchase a credit pack or add more users to increase your allowance.
